What monster did I create?

Hey guys!
On my last post I told I had changed up my two spread a little, wait actually no, COMPLETELY. I kind of left you guys out of the loop a little with what exactly I had done to my magazine. Well, I have decided to talk about Generation Z and how they are viewed verses how they really are. Let's see who wins this battle. I have gathered my information from a variety of online sources because I want my article to be factual and not just some made up "mumbo jumbo". Here are two of the articles I mostly used to piece my article together.

Obviously, since I'm also part of Generation Z the article is a little biased, but I feel like that is fine. I know an interview could've been a lot easier to produce, but I noticed so many people were choosing to do that and I thought maybe I should be different and choose a different path. Almost done everything. Time to start with my CCR.

Changing it Up

Hey Guys.
Let me update you on what's been going on. As of now I have completed my table of contents. I did a few minor changes from my original layout that I had posted earlier, but overall it is still somewhat similar. I decided to make it two pages because that is what my teacher advised and I decided to include page numbers instead of roman numerals like I had originally wanted. Here's the first page of it.

I have also changed what my two page spread is going to be about. Instead of having an interview I am going to give and overall view of who Generation Z is. So far, I have already completed the first page of my spread, but I want to fix it up a bit before I post anything about it. I decided to incorporate the color red so it would look good next to my table of contents.
Well, that's all I've got for now.

Stay tuned.

Cover is DONE

Hey Guys! So today we met in groups and let's just say they were really impressed by what I had produced so far. I showed them my cover and my table of contents ( which I am really close to completing) and lets just say they it went extremely well.
They did; however, have a few critiques for me which I took into consideration. First, they had said that the bottom part of my cover was a little hard to read and they tried to help me fix it. My friend, Roberto, helped me change the colors up a bit on Photoshop, which I should really learn how to use, to see if maybe we could fix the problem. Here's the before and after.
after

After I took a poll in my class, many people still preferred the yellow and believed that the red didn't really change anything. So, I made this and I think it looks a lot better. I thought what if I add the brush stroke underneath "Generation Z" similar to the font of the masthead. This is what came out.

I think it looks a lot better and matches the style. I am also almost finished with my table of contents and got started on my two page spread.

Work, Work, Work

I have started working on the layout and the color scheme for the table of contents of Made In magazine. So far this is what I have.

Now here's the problem, I don't know whether or not I want to make this two pages. I feel like with an editorial magazine it could be possible to make it one and divide the magazine into sections rather than pages. I am going to discuss this with my peers and see what they think. I love this layout although, it still needs a lot of work.
In the white area I will right the numbers of where the sections or pages (I'm not sure yet) will be found or I will include a quirky quote because I feel it will go well with the magazine. If I do this I want it to look like it was handwritten on the magazine because in this edition I am focusing on the different people and their own personal styles.
Anyway, that's all I have for now. See ya later!

Stay tuned.
